Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi. My name is Danielle Nista, and I am a sophomore History and French double major in BC's Arts and Sciences Honors Program. I am extremely interested in studying history during the 19th Century in America and France. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also the Underclassman Representative for BC's only Swing Dancing club, Full Swing. I have been dancing since I was four, studying tap for 16 years and jazz for 15. I was a teacher assistant at my dance studio for four years, and I also teach guest classes there during school vacations. I was a participant in the Radio City Rockette Summer Intensive for two years, which is a week long program designed to teach Rockette dance technique and choreography to aspiring dancers. The week culminates with a performance on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall, and dancing on that stage was an experience I will never forget. I'm extremely excited to be teaching a Splash course this semester, which blends two of my favorite things: dance and history!
