Have you ever taken a step back and wondered why you think your body, hair, and clothing should look a certain way? Such is the power of advertising. Come explore and discuss how the images presented in magazines, on television, and in movies influence the way females think about beauty and behavior. Has our world created a singular image of femininity? What has and what will this image do to our society? Do we have an obligation to challenge the hold advertising has on the portrayal of women, or are we helpless to do anything? Who has the freewill in this relationship - the advertiser or the buyer?
