People keep saying that the US and global economies are bad at the moment, but do you know what's going on behind the job losses and foreclosures, how we got here, or what kind of implications either of these could have for the future of the economy? If you have an interest in macroeconomics, the financial world, or simply want to understand the backstory behind the current news, this class is for you! We'll go through the precipitating factors that led to the current Great Recession and talk about why we should care.
