What do fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and God have in common? Well, quite a bit, actually. For starters, both are objects of desire. If you believe Betty Crocker, we all have a natural desire for chocolate chip cookies—or, if not for cookies, for something else sweet! And if you believe Saint Augustine, all humans have a natural desire to find their truest self, to discover and follow their deepest desire—in short, to rest in God’s love. Join us for some cookies and a conversation about what, for Boston College, is part of the heart of its education: theology.
