S879: A Day in the Amazon Rainforest (And Some Basic Ecology) in Splash Spring 2013 (Apr. 07, 2013)
Students will learn some basic facts about the Amazon rainforest, what kind of plants and animals live there (and all their awesome adaptations), and what an amazing ecosystem is it. We will also talk a little bit about the major (human) threats facing the Amazon, and why it's so important that we start protecting the rainforest. I will be sharing pictures and stories from the week that I spent in the Amazon!
