Brief Biographical Sketch:

I hail from West Roxbury, MA, a neighborhood of Boston and attended Ursuline Academy in Dedham, MA. Currently, I am studying English lit and political science in the A & S Honors College of BC. I work at Boston College Law School and am a volunteer for the Salvation Army, the JFK Presidential Library and Museum, St. Ignatius Church, and the Jimmy Fund. This past summer, I studied abroad in Venice, Italy and kept a blog of the experience at http://inamoreconunarrivederci.wordpress.com/

R337: The City in Splash Fall 2011 (Nov. 13, 2011)
The City is a course that aims to explore how major world cities are portrayed in literature, music, and film. We will watch clips and read excerpts from pieces, gaining an understanding of the call, the vocation, of the city as a character.


R179: James Joyce: the Heart of Dublin in Splash Spring 2011 (Mar. 27, 2011)
This course will explore the world of James Joyce, as an author strongly rooted in the city of Dublin. We will focus on the opening passages of the text of Ulysses, exploring the layers of meaning to be found in a single sentence and the devices that Joyce utilizes in the creation of such a monumental work.
