Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am an MA candidate in Classics at BC. I am (fingers crossed) graduating this Spring, and I hope to go on to teach high school Latin, Greek, and/or the classical humanities.

R295: Battle Scenes in Greek and Roman Epics in Splash Fall 2011 (Nov. 13, 2011)
In this class we will discuss a selection of two epic battle scenes as they appear in the Odyssey and the Metamorphoses of Ovid. Through analysis of these two scenes, we will discuss how the epics compare and develop a general appreciation for these literary works and the epic genre.
