R395: The Dark Knight of Infinite Resignation: Batman and Philosophy in Splash Fall 2011 (Nov. 13, 2011)
Thanks to Christopher Nolan's recent movies, Batman seems pretty cool these days. As much fun as the Dark Knight's nocturnal pugilism (punching people) can be, there's much more going on under the surface. This class will examine some of the philosophical themes echoed by Batman and by some of his adversaries.
