Can Alice ensure that the message she sends to Bob can be read only by Bob, even in the presence of an eavesdropper? How can Bob ensure that the message he received really came from Alice? How can a server verify a client's password without storing sensitive password information? In this course we will answer these questions and more by exploring the mathematical foundations of cryptography and computer security.
