Brief Biographical Sketch:

My name is Jonessa St. Lewis. I am an English major and Sociology minor in the Morissey School of Arts and Sciences. In high school, I tutored peers under the supervision of the Cobb County School District and I'd like to think I haven't forgot how to do that. My one goal in this endeavor is that at least one (1) student finds my course mildly interesting. That'd be great.

R1542: Cartoons! and Social Theory in Splash Fall 2016 (Nov. 13, 2016)
In this course, we will analyze the presence of social trends in animated media, and discuss what their inclusion tells us what is to our society and how comedy and aesthetics work to make these ideas easier to absorb, criticize, or enjoy. We will be viewing clips from a lot of popular children and adult cartoons.
