Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a Senior with a concentration in Philosophy and Classics. I am currently writing a Senior thesis concerning the mind-body connection and the Metaphysical impacts that different theories of mind have on just about everything.

I am very interested in Ethical issues and with expanding the field of Philosophy beyond the classroom. Philosophy is often seen as just an academic discipline and is expected to be just a discussion between PhD's. I am all for philosophy becoming a topic of discussion for everyone, seeing how it impacts all of our lives.

Beyond that I am very interested in Greek and Roman culture and literature, especially in connecting the various parallels between it and our own culture.

R941: The Good Life in Splash Fall 2013 (Nov. 17, 2013)
This course will consider what the good life is and in what way it is possible to attain it. The principal question the class will try to answer is what the good life is and how it is possible to attain the good life.


R344: Gladiators in Splash Fall 2011 (Nov. 13, 2011)
This course will be looking at the origins and development of gladiators in the classical world. Origins and types of gladiators will be explained in order to get a better understanding of the daily life of the average gladiator at the height of Roman dominance in the Mediterranean.
