When we think of hip hop, we think of conventional choreography in music videos: dougie-ing, or even jerking. With my workshop, I hope to introduce students to a lesser known form of hiphop: tutting. Tutting is performed with attention to the musics' rhythm by altering the position of the body and limbs in a synchronized, robotic manner, (Wiki) and I think my workshop will be able to not only demonstrate the art of tutting, but also create a fun enjoyable atmosphere for learning to dance as well.

Join the members of UPrising Dance Crew as they challenge you in Glitch movement choreography and tutting! In the first hour of the workshop, you will be challenged to interpret musicality and apply it to body movements in a fast combination of slow motion and high speed movement! In the second hour of the workshop, you will learn a tutting piece while on the floor! This will be tons of fun so get ready!! UPrising was established on September 2011 and recently performed at the World Of Dance Boston!
