Remember learning about the planets of our solar system when you were in elementary school? Prepare to dive into a class that looks at the raw physics and interesting characteristics of our solar system as a whole and for each unique planet it carries.

Want to learn about one of America's greatest past-times? Want to know how the NBA became to be? You may know about the current stars of the game, but how much do you know about the legends who came before them? Come join us as we look into history the great sport of basketball, not only as a sport and source of entertainment, but as an entire culture.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to read Braille? Now is your chance to start! In this class, we will learn about the history and creation of Braille, the alphabet, numbers, and punctuation. We will cover different Braille reading techniques, and each student will receive a card with the Braille alphabet on it that he or she can keep. Learning to read Braille is a difficult process, and this class will give a thorough introduction to the basics of Braille.

In the Boston College SCVGR Hunt, students will combine the knowledge learned in class with team building skills to complete tasks that will bring them all around BC campus. This class will use one of the hottest social apps, SCVGNR, to complete a scavenger hunt. Winning this SCVGNR hunt will take a lot of determination, teamwork, and some serious detective skills.
